The Tyrant King Counter, born by the name of Maxibillian Counteriposte, is known by most as one of the most tyrannical, evil, and downright horrific figures of written history. Despite the hatred people have for him, all who have ever encountered him have had no choice but to respect the power he commanded both physically and mentally. Just so much as stepping into his shadow on the ground behind him would be the last thing many ever did, regardless as to their loyalty to the King. While others struggled to even look him in the eyes some days, as the King simply felt like countering the person's gaze upon him. This is all made possible by a trait passed down by his family line, granting those within the bloodline an innate ability to reflexively counter-attack anything that they deem a threat to themselves. While this ability has been passed down to even the most recent generations of the family, only King Counter took as much time as he did to hone his counter into something far deadlier. While physically strong as it is, the improved counter reflex allows the King to perform feats beyond what would be considered feasible for a normal person. Fists attacking with the force of bullets of the highest caliber. Weapon proficiency that leaves little room for error. These are all things that are amplified by the counter reflex, allowing the King's body to instinctively act on its own to prevent its own destruction.
Aside from his power, there was another quality of this tyrannical ruler that was a persistent topic among historians. The depth to the lengths this man would go to inflict pain and misery. The Kingdom he ruled over was one plunged into the depths of decay and despair. Food was kept scarce, wages kept low, taxes as high as could be. Education was actively stifled by a law enforcement unit created by the King himself. The officers often went around causing trouble themselves and actively provoking situations that would lead to widespread rioting. Often those who simply tried to stay out of the way would end up in the crossfire, and almost nowhere in the kingdom was truly safe to live. To make matters worse, once the King was informed that there were those attempting to desperately leave the Kingdom, he devised a plan. He would have his servants construct a large ring of cannons around the entirety of the Kingdom's boundaries and they would fire directly at the King who had jumped high into the air. As all of the thousands of cannonballs came barreling towards him, he would close his eyes, and flash a very small grin before suddenly, the whole Kingdom would be surrounded by a wall of explosions. From then on, the Kingdom was now unable to be accessed by outsiders or escaped by those inside.
Returning to his throne once more, the King would spend the next many years slowly eating away at what little quality of life remained in the Kingdom. After enough time, the masses living there had no means to rebel, as they needed to keep working to maintain what little they had. They had not the time, nor the power, or the willingness to upend the tiniest fraction of control they had over their lives. Education among them began to plummet as the youngest had not the time for studies and wonder. Instead needing to spend as much time as possible working for what little they could get. Soon enough, despite the conditions perfectly crafted to keep the people he ruled over in line, murmurs of attempts at the King's life and other signs of potential uprisings forced the King to take a more drastic measure. This however would not be some big grand event. But instead, a slow process in which he instructed a team of servants to filter in completely fabricated stories and 'facts' into all sorts of conversations, and letters, and other physical means of communication. Before long, not only were the people struggling, they then began to turn on one another. The system was working as designed.
Eventually, enough became enough for one woman that lived in the Kingdom, born and raised within it, Morana Titanarum spent most of her childhood and young adulthood scratching and clawing and doing whatever it takes to survive within the Kingdom. Often she would hang around whenever the King was making weekly speeches towards the masses, watching closely at his every movement, trying to figure out whatever patterns he follows. She has seen countless others in the past attempt to take him down and each and every attempt ended up in complete failure. That was something that was simply not an option for Morana. Soon enough she decided it was time for her to either take the King down herself, or go down trying. In the past, prior assailants were all men who did their best to obscure their face. Morana decided it would be best to do the same, if only to honor the memory of those who gave up everything yet died for nothing. With her disguise ready, she waited for the perfect moment just as the King reached a particular point in his canned speech.
The next few seconds for Morana felt like years. She swiftly threw a handful of sharp rocks at the King, triggering the reflexive counter. Ordinarily, this kind of trick would have little effect and would be easily dealt with by the King. However, his confidence over time had grown a little too great, and complacency had crept in. For the first time ever, the tyrant was caught off guard, and as he turned to face the opposite direction the rocks came from, he felt several sharp stabs straight into his face, disfiguring the King and enraging him greatly. Countless others watched on in fear, curiosity, and horror as Morana was within the blink of an eye, torn through the center with a punch through the gut. A level of anger which the King has never reached before. He held Morana in place as he summoned another servant, this time with an eyepatch, as they said a few unknown words. In the final moments of consciousness she had, she removed her hood, revealing to everyone the woman that managed to scar the tyrant and said. "I'm not afraid of you, I'm just a victim of your fear! Cower in your tower and pray I disappear...". Then and there, Morana Titanarum was no more, and she was discarded into a nearby river.
The years following her disappearance, the King would become increasingly unstable. Clearly deeply wounded in more ways than one by the most recent attempt on his life, he began to get sloppy and made more mistakes that led to more destabilization. It wasn't until the consequences of this deterioration began to affect those in the King's inner circle, that action against him was finally considered to be taken. Those at the top cared not for the working class beneath them to thrive, but they needed them there to maintain their own ability to do so. Without the masses being kept just comfortable enough, they simply have nothing left to lose. Then, behind the King's back, his most trusted inner circle ally by the name of Blincoln, who was the main architect of the Kingdom's oppressive tax system, used a technique banned within the family for its potential misuse. However even someone as cold as Blincoln knew when the right time to use something like this was. He would approach the King on his throne, open up a small empty bag intended for coin collection before proceeding to run straight at the King himself. Once more shocked by such a betrayal, the King quickly moved to dispatch the tax man. He closed his eyes and prepared for death and failure. But opened them to find that he managed to put his ledger perfectly between himself and the King's fist. The two looked up at one another, as a green aura consumed the King, leaving behind nothing but a singular large coin with his face on it. Blincoln picked it up and stored it in the bag, burying it in the Riposte family cemetery. The King was finally gone, and with his defeat came celebrations everywhere. The Kingdom slowly but surely began to revive itself, with bridges being built over the chasms the King once created, allowing entry and exit from the kingdom once more.
The Arena, through some digging done on information regarding the present day heir to the Counter County throne, Camilla, managed to find the location of this family cemetery in which the King was sealed. The Arena sent an official and a man with a pickaxe who was seen digging through Arena property recently to see what they could find at the resting place of the King. Unaware of the bag, or the coin of the King, the Arena official took the bag and examined it before opening it up once it was brought back to the Arena facility. And while we suffered a far greater amount of casualties than we would have liked getting everything in order, the tyrant king is now a full participant in the Boss Gauntlet as the boss of the seventh floor. Where he intends to inflict as much suffering as possible on the combatants, proving to be quite the challenge to overcome. What fun!
The Tyrant King comes face to face with his victims. From there he will do as he sees fit to make the battle more to his liking by killing off one of the trio members at random, just to show how pathetic they are compared to him. Thus kicking off the multi phase fight. During all phases, King Counter can use his signature counter ability, dealing back 2x damage to the attacker or a random trio member.
In addition to all this, on rare occasions during any phase, King Counter can drop his weapon temporarily and dash towards and grab the nearest trio member. The victim being grabbed must make peace with what happens next, as they are destroyed completely and utterly. This dash grab is able to be dodged however, and does not happen very often so it is vital to avoid it, as it also pauses the respawn timers.
King Counter fights the trio directly using his specially made sword. It functions similarly to Al's Sword, though it is far larger and does 9 damage on hit.
Just as with the first phase, the second phase involves another full fight, this time with the Tyrant King using his signature bow and arrows. These arrows fire in bursts of three, firing three arrows per volley that do 8 damage each.
With his weaponry no longer at his disposal, King Counter will take on unarmed properties, and put up a last stand against the trio. To mock what he calls a false god, King Counter trained himself and honed his skills to be able to do 13 damage on hit.
Before King Counter is defeated, he will attempt to take the trio out with him. Any trio member close enough to him in this moment will be annihilated.
